During the writing phase:

- During the author's work on the manuscript, the publisher and the editor are available for advice and support.
- The author submits the raw manuscript, including supporting images and figures, to the publisher who, in co-operation with the editor, reviews and provides feedback.
- The author finalises the manuscript and submits it to the publisher.

If you want to read more in-depth writing rules, we recommend the book Svenska skrivregler, which contains the Language Council's recommendations on how to write and design texts. The Language Council also has a question box on the web where many current linguistic questions are answered.

SAOL, the Swedish Academy's dictionary, is also a good support when you are unsure of the correct form or spelling of a word.

For consistency in the spelling of medical terms, we recommend Medicinska Ord by Bengt Lundh and Jörgen Malmquist, Studentlitteratur 2016. This book follows the guidelines developed by the Swedish Medical Society's Committee for Medical Language Care.
