Formulas and phonetics
Books containing formulae or phonetic scripts are technically complex and require a high degree of accuracy from the outset.
In projects involving formulae or phonetic writing, it is important that the author and the educational material developer or technical editor start working together at a very early stage. Otherwise, production risks being unnecessarily expensive and time-consuming.
Digital material
Characters reproduced correctly in the printed book can sometimes cause problems when used in digital materials such as interactive exercises. Therefore, if you have agreed with the publisher that your book will have a digital component, it is particularly important to check early on the use of formulae, phonetic writing and other specialised characters.
