Point lineups
In the case of bulleted lists, it is important that the different elements are linguistically similar and that their content is comparable. The requirements for symmetry apply regardless of whether the paragraphs consist of short phrases or full sentences.
Swedish writing rules (the language council 2017, pp. 29-30) gives the following example:
Feel free to make a bulleted list
when you want to emphasise certain information
when a sentence is long because it contains several conditions or other enumerations
when you want to explain and clarify comlicated circumstances
Start each line with a lower case letter and do not use a comma or a full stop between lines. End the list with a full stop if the items are not complete sentences. If the paragraphs are complete sentences, start each paragraph with a capital letter and end it with a full stop.
Example:
The board decided the following:
The monthly fee is increased by SEK 800 from 1 January.
Lena gets quotes for stair cleaning.
Baki hires a lock company to change the locks in the attic and basement.
